I made the mistake of registering with a political party for the first time ever so I could vote in primaries (single party city in a single party state with closed primaries, it suddenly dawned on me it was kind of silly to not vote in the election that actually matters). Good lord, the texts, the phone calls, the emails most of the texts are g etting marked as suspected spam, which means a lot of other people must have the same opinion of them. I don’t know if this is what its usually like, but I may go back to my nonpartisan stance.
Here’s a hint, people like to vote for candidates who project an air of confidence, desperation is a turn off, act like you don’t even give a damn about my vote, and you’ll get it.

I do tech for a major bank and we are constantly working to get phone providers to stop labeling us as spam. I mean if I had legit bill collectors calling every day I would mark them as spam too

Major banks thinking they’re legit is pretty funny. You guys make up 90% of digital and physical spam.
Wonder if I can start spamming banks to get some of my tax dollars back.

Oh wow, that’s an angle I never thought about. Of course the only time I ever had bill collectors calling, was when they were after the woman who used to have my old land line number.
After about a year of that, I was at Sears and gave my phone number to them while checking out . The clerk asked me if was that person. I said no, and she spun the screen and showed me not just my numb er under her name, but another number. I quickly wrote that down. I was all too happy to share that with the next bill collector who called. Within a week the calls finally stopped.

There is a large number of people who have the money to pay a debt and just don't know they owe money. There is also a large number who know and don't care. Also a third group who know and really can't do anything to pay. I feel for the third group.

Start emailing / calling AIG and Citi G roup since they never repaid with interest like all the others. Let me know when you get some money. My employer did take money and did repay it with interest.
